LibertyPen.com has been in operation since 2006, chronicling the fragile state of liberty. It provided a daily list of links to news stories that illustrate the mission. The site was published using a Google product. Now Google censors have decided that certain categories of information should not be accessible for public consideration.

Three categories of news were wiped clean. First to go was “Politics and Other Official Acts of Corruption”, links illustrating shady actions and practices among the ruling class. Next was, “Political Correctness and Other Nitwittery”, a list of links regarding Woke and nonsensical contentions, such as women can have penises or vaccines are not meant to provide immunity. Then went, “The Government is Not Us”, a list of tyrannical assaults against the people’s “Constitutionally insured” individual liberties.

As a result, LibertyPen.com will post future news links at Libertypen.substack.com.

👉  If this does not illustrate how Big Tech is in the tank for the statist propaganda, nothing will.
Indoctrination and Censorship

fromAmericanThinker: No one outside the ruling class would want any part of the lefts socialist national agenda, so they must lie to have any success.

fromMises: The strength of the green movement is predicated on the belief that warming is a deleterious activity that must be abated at all costs. But this is a false proposition that fails to consider the ameliorative effects.

fromJonathanTurley: Government officials leak new details on the Mar-a-Lago raid while continuing to oppose disclosures in court.
The Government is Not Us

The Government is Not Us

August 23, 2022

fromAmericanGreatness: Our elites are now viewed with the disdain they have earned on their own merits.
The Government is Not Us

fromLibertarianInstitute: The brilliant people in the Biden administration and the U.S. Congress have decided that one thing America really needs is an Internal Revenue Service (!) fortified by 87,000 more employees and 80 billion more dollars so it can help reduce the inflation that currently menaces us.
Regulation Nation

fromWashingtonTimes: Does it concern you that a group of Democrats holding power is now defining all Republicans as being “right-wing extremists” and a “threat to American democracy?”
The Government is Not Us

fromReason: “School choice would help families escape classroom battles by leaving the battleground.

Indoctrination and Censorship

August 22, 2022

fromRealClearInvestigations: The FBI division overseeing the investigation of former President Trump's handling of classified material at his Mar-a-Lago residence is also a focus of Special Counsel John Durham's investigation of the bureau's alleged abuses of power and political bias during its years-long Russiagate probe of Trump.
The Government is Not Us

fromFederalist: Can the FBI be trusted? A Federalist analysis of agency lies over the last decade is an unequivocal no.

Police State America

fromFoxBusiness: Inflation rose 8.5% in July, remains near its highest level in 4 decades.

August 21, 2022

fromReason: Many Americans do not enjoy being reminded of the fact that a country that began as a tax revolt against England now has a federal agency with some 81,600 employees dedicated to confiscating the maximum amount of income from its citizens allowable by (very confusing) law, under threat of potential imprisonment.
Indoctrination and Censorship

fromSpiked: Freedom of speech must include the freedom to question climate-change policy. It’s never a good sign when a government launches a policy and instantly decrees that criticism of that policy is not allowed. It’s happening in the US right now.
Indoctrination and Censorship

fromMoonbattery: John Wayne became an icon by emblematizing the rugged individualism that made America great. This is why he must be canceled. However, Wayne remains such a cultural giant that despite their efforts Democrats have not even managed to change the name of John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. A disgraceful event from Hollywood history may give them the pretext they need.

Politics and Other Official Acts of Corruption

August 20, 2022

fromAmericanGreatness: If the FBI can selectively leak portions of the affidavit agents used to justify the search of Mar-a-Lago, then why should it be allowed to conceal the rest of the affidavit?
Police State America

fromPlebity: Today’s left serves rather than challenges power. Leftist analysis of capitalism, which once centered around class, has been rejected in favor of identity politics. Speech is conflated with violence, and punishment is swift for those who use words deemed to cause harm or offense.
Indoctrination and Censorship

fromReason: Why should we believe that this boondoggle will produce better results than hundreds of other corporate welfare programs?
Economic Policy: Statism Versus The Free Market

fromHotAir: Virtue signals are fine when the messages don’t cost anything. The easiest way to tell when that signal starts to fail is to watch politicians flounder as the costs start to rise and voters demand relief.
Political Correctness and Other Nitwittery

fromBrownstoneInstitute: Don’t be fooled by any appearance of contrition on the part of the CDC. They still have a legal appeal in process that would put a mask back on your face when traveling.

fromAmericanSpectator: He is still popping off after his stupendous act of partisan hackery.
Politics and Other Official Acts of Corruption

August 19, 2022

fromAmericanGreatness: Those who warn most of some mythical civil war are those most likely to incite one.

fromWallStreetJournal: Politicians and trial lawyers are sticking up companies across the pharmaceutical supply chain like Bonnie and Clyde.

fromEricPetersAutos: Are you grateful that a gallon of gas only costs about twice what it cost two years ago (when it actually cost less, in terms of what it cost to buy, when adjusted for 9.5 percent inflation) rather than nearly three times as much? The Biden Thing hopes you will be – in the manner of being grateful to the mobster who only breaks one leg rather than both.       Inflation Nation

fromReason: Perceptions that the national police agency is at war with half of the population have eroded its standing, while Biden administration plans to super-size the tax-collection agency further sour public perceptions.

fromBreitbart: The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that at least $20 billion will be taken from working and middle class Americans earning less than $400,000 a year as a result of the increased IRS audits.

fromAmericanThinker: Thanks to the BLM effect, Griner may have lost her sense that there will be negative repercussions when a Black person commits a criminal act. And in carrying that mindset to Russia, she turned herself into a perfect pawn for Putin.

August 18, 2022

fromRutherfordInstitute: “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” — President Harry S. Truman

fromCreators: The public should be frightened that Democrats are passing new legislation to weaponize the already abusive Internal Revenue Service.

fromEricPetersAuto: They will be replaced by more “eco-friendly” electric cars – air-fingers-quotation marks to emphasize the lie of the thing, since there is nothing “eco friendly” about replacing a 500 pound V8 engine – as in the Charger and Challenger – with a 1,000-plus pounds of environmentally hazardous materials that consume a gratuitously excessive amount of power – in the form electricity that is generated almost entirely by burning hydrocarbon fuels, just like a V8 engine.

fromWashingtonFreeBeacon: Perhaps, when we know all the facts, we will find that the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida home was justified. Until then, we reserve our right to question the integrity of the federal law enforcement officials who have demonstrated their willingness to behave like political hacks and abuse the power with which they are entrusted to punish their political opponents.

fromReason: If all of the ballot initiatives succeed, pot will be legal in 25 states.

fromTheNationalPulse: COVID-19 lockdowns could be responsible for claiming 20 times more lives than they were advertised to save, according to a new analysis published in the International Journal of Environmental Research.

August 17, 2022

fromAmericanGreatness: Is the attorney general disingenuous or simply naïve?

fromTownhall: Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky) is calling for the repeal of the Espionage Act, arguing the act has been “abused from the beginning to jail dissenters of WWI.” In a tweet, Paul said it is “long past time to repeal this egregious affront to the 1st Amendment.”

fromSashaStone/Substack: To watch our Department of Justice raid a former president’s home months before the midterms, where the Democrats were expected to do very badly, looks suspect to anyone.

fromWallStreetJournal: Democrats spent last week swearing that only high earners would be squeezed under their plan to beef up the Internal Revenue Service. It took only a few days for the CBO to put that narrative to rest. A quick analysis from the budget scorer confirms that the audit expansion will ensnare the middle class.

fromMises: The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the US was 9.1 percent in June. Taking into account that the government lies about inflation, it is better to consider Shadow Government Statistics’ CPI (based on the 1980s CPI methodology), which was (as of July 13) about 17 percent.

fromJonathanTurley: We still do not have sufficient information to judge the basis for the raid or the prospects for prosecution despite the often breathless coverage.  The affidavit remains key to ending this speculation and quelling conspiracy theories. That is why Attorney General Merrick Garland should call for its unsealing.

August 16, 2022

fromReason: As the response to the Mar-a-Lago raid illustrates, Republicans are inconsistent in the other direction.

fromTheGuardian: Inflation is the top challenge facing small businesses this year, according to a report issued by the National Federation of Independent Businesses this past month, with a whopping 91% admitting that rising prices are having either a “substantial” or “moderate” impact on their companies.

fromRealClearPolitics: Nothing symbolizes the decline of the American republic better than the weaponization of justice that we saw last week when the FBI raided the home of former President Trump. And nothing better represents the divide that now exists between Democrats and Republicans than the fact that some people still have faith in the FBI.

fromZeroHedge: Though progressives routinely express horror over that idea that the federal government profits from student loans, a new analysis by the government's own watchdog finds taxpayers will lose $197 billion on loans made over the past 25 years.

fromHotAir: First shots are now difficult to get and second shots will be banned in September.

August 15, 2022

fromZeroHedge: The false information was conveyed in responses to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for the results of surveillance, and after the CDC claimed COVID-19 vaccines are being monitored “by the most intense safety monitoring efforts in U.S. history.”
The Government is Not Us                                                                    Indoctrination and Censorship

fromGatestoneInstitute: The investigative reporting by these two organizations [the New York Times and the Washington Post] was so thorough and groundbreaking it turned up things that were not even there.

fromLibertarianInstitute: There were plenty of dubious factors that could have tipped the scales for a Biden victory, including machinations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. They have a long history of abuse.

fromNationAndState: Just one more example of how the attack dog media from the Trump administration has morphed into the lapdog media for Biden and the Deep State.

fromAdvancingTime: This bill is another case of a slight majority -- all consisting of Democratic Party toadies -- shaping society and transferring wealth through subsidies and edicts from high.

fromPolitico: Donald Trump has more than $100 million in his political war chest. But he has something even more valuable — an active FBI investigation against him.

August 14, 2022

fromRealClearPolitics: The FBI is dissolving before our eyes into a rogue security service akin to those in Eastern Europe during the Cold War. Take the FBI's deliberately asymmetrical application of the law. fromIAINews: Given the relentless onslaught of pandemics, incessant political buffoonery, climate change, discrimination, exploitation, and generalized torment, in the wise words of Audre Lorde, “what depraved monster could possibly be always happy?”

fromElGatoMalo: The government has changed in a manner the framers did not anticipate. we have become a government not with a weak executive but with an exceedingly powerful one.

fromZeroHedge: The World Economic Forum (WEF) has been pushing hard for a 'cashless society' in a post-pandemic world, though physical money has made a comeback in at least one European country as consumers increasingly use notes and coins to help them balance household budgets amid an inflationary storm.

fromTownhall: Asked whether the “FBI raid on President Trump” increased motivation to vote in the 2022 midterm elections, 70 percent of likely general election voters said yes. Among Republicans, 83.3 percent said the raid motivated them to turn out on Election Day, while 71.7 percent of independent voters said the same.

fromAmericanGreatness: If the Mar-a-Lago raid proves anything, it is that the establishment still fears Donald Trump. What might the political class do yet to preserve its power?
